One thing is for sure-we are all in need of a good laugh. Luckily, Mount Union already has something planned! Meet Jon Fisher, a “musical comedian” who will be filling (socially distancing) Brush Auditorium with laughter, music, and motivation this Thursday at 7 p.m. during Week of Welcome. If you’re a fan of Hannibal Buress, Sarah Silverman or Iliza Shlesinger, chances are you’ll also enjoy Fisher’s show because he’s been onstage with them!
Summit Comedy’s website describes Jon Fisher as “a mashup between Bo Burnham, Flight of the Conchords and Lonely Island” who specializes in relatable college student humor. While singing isn’t the only thing he does onstage, his song style is described as acoustic, pop and hip-hop, which I’m sure will leave the audience enthused.
So, if you’re in need of a motivational DJ who will also make you laugh (can he play at my wedding?), Jon Fisher’s show is definitely for you! Go to Brush this Thursday night (seating is limited to the first 50), kick back and relax and listen to some great comedy and music whilst being motivated-it’s the perfect end of week boost you need to get you through!
